Unveiling of the ‘Padre Francisco Ignacio Alcina, S.J.’ Historical Marker

PALAPAG, Northern Samar ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Chairman Regalado Trota Jose Jr., will unveil the historical marker, “Francisco Ignacio Alcina” on 30 July, 9:00 a.m. The marker states:

NHCP Chairman Jose will present the historical marker. Diocese of Catarman Bishop Nolly C. Buco will deliver his acceptance message after signing the certificate of transfer. Witnesses to the signing are NHCP Deputy Executive Director Alvin R. Alcid, Northern Samar Governor Edwin Marino C. Ongchuan, Palapag Mayor Florencio A. Batula, Jr., and Palapag Church Parish Priest Lito Jumadiao.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures. (NHCP)
