PASIL, Kalinga (PIA) – -A new building of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Upper Kalinga District Engineering Office (DPWH-UKDEO) will soon rise at Cagaluan in this municipality.
With an initial funding of P25 million for Phase 1, DPWH-UKDEO headed by District Engineer Teodoro Owek led the groundbreaking of the project last January 18. The groundbreaking was witnessed by Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Mayor Alfredo Malannag Jr. and BMJ Builders (Contractor), and the benediction by Fr. Charleston Cabantac.
The building will rise in a 1.6-hectare lot donated by the Pasil LGU.
“Maintenance and repair of roads, and delivery of other services within our jurisdiction will be prompt since UKDEO will be right there at your service including clearing of closed roads during calamities,” Assistant District Engineer Ricky Dickly said.
UKDEO covers the municipalities of Tinglayan, Lubuagan, Pasil and Balbalan. Cagaluan. , the near location of UKDEO office is half-way between Tinglayan-Lubuagan and Pasil-Balbalan.
