QUEZON CITY — Voting this year was faster, more organized, and more comfortable, according to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) across various Metro Manila polling centers for the National and Local Elections 2025 (NLE 2025).
At Alabang Elementary School in Muntinlupa, 68-year-old Nanay Elsidita expressed her satisfaction with how the voting process was handled. “This year’s voting was better and more organized than in previous years,” she said. She also shared that she continues to vote for the future of her grandchildren and the younger generation of Filipinos.
Belinda Samonte, a senior citizen and PWD from Marikina, said she had no issues casting her vote at Concepcion Elementary School. “Everything went smoothly, and the school staff assisted me well,” she said.

In Manila, Dr. Alejandro Albert Elementary School lobby served as a Priority Polling Place (PPP). The said school is one of the newest precincts opened for the NLE 2025. Voters noted the convenience of new facilities of the school like elevators and air-conditioned classrooms.
In Pateros, 58-year-old tricycle driver, Valentin chose to work first before heading to vote in the afternoon. His only request to whoever wins the elections is to fulfill the promises made during the campaign.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has set early voting hours (EVH) from 5:00 am to 7:00 am and has allotted PPP for persons with disability (PWDs), senior citizens and pregnant women in NLE 2025. (AVS/PIA-NCR)
