BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur — In line with the celebration of National Women’s Month, the Federation of Bislig Women’s Association (FOBWA) – Cluster three to six, together with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), hosted the ‘Tabo sa Kababaehan,’ on March 14, 16, 22 and 24, 2023.
Various activities were open to the public such as volleyball games, other recreational games, singing and dance contests.
Also, the public availed of free services such as training on special pork chicharron and banana chips making, health and wellness-massage therapy, and beauty care including manicures and haircut.
The FOBWA Cluster 6 offered some special competitions such as best table skirting, highest training barangay, and gandang nanay ng Cluster 6, which showcased the skills of the members of the association, as manifestation that they are empowered women with confidence and high self-esteem.
Meanwhile, Philippine Red Cross-Surigao del Sur Chapter Board chairperson Rosalinda Cruz-Pimentel, graced the occasion and extended her support, gratitude, and generosity by sponsoring additional cash prizes for the various competitions. (NGPB/Jessa Deguito/CIO-Bislig/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
