Zambo Task Force confirms no security threats in Zambo

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jan. 5 (PIA) – The Joint Task Force Zamboanga (JTFZ) headed by Commander Randolph Rojas assures Zamboangeños that the city has no security threats and with zero atrocities for almost six years.

With the JTFZ’s support and continuous close coordination with Zamboanga City Police Office, for the year 2022, there are also no alarming crime cases recorded in the city.

“With our mission to deter and deny enemy and atrocities, we stay in close coordination with city for our mandates,” Col. Rojas said.

 

The security sector also commits to change the perception of the tourists about the safety and security when visiting the city and ensure the people of their city whenever they are on tour especially during holidays and summer vacations. Col. Rojas emphasizes that the military and the police are also task to stay courteous to the residents and visitor for them not to feel intimidated and unsafe while in public places and tourist destinations, “the security now also becomes part of the tourism,” he added.

Col. Rojas also extends gratitude and commends the efforts of the City Government of Zamboanga and all the Zamboangeños for being proactive and always coordinates with the authorities in order to ensure the safety of the city.

 

JTFZ shares that one of the mechanism, which improved the quick response to crimes and threats is the active communication of barangays and residents whenever they notice or monitors unusual persons and activities in their areas.

Moreover, the Col. Rojas encourages everyone to do the same and immediately report to them or to the authority whatever unusual activities they see in their barangays, “our security is everybody’s business, so let us continue to help each other and coordinate with us,” he added.

As the new year comes, JTFZ assures that they will continue to protect the city and will help improve development by securing it from atrocities and other crimes, “the security sector will always be at your service dedicated and committed to serve and do our job,” Col. Rojas said.
