A key highlight of this initiative was the signing of the Peace Covenant and Solidarity Pact, a collective pledge to uphold fairness and integrity throughout the electoral process. This unified effort aims to safeguard the rights of voters while maintaining security across the Zamboanga Peninsula.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9), Police Brigadier General Roel Rodolfo, emphasized the importance of collaboration in protecting public welfare during the elections. He assured the public of PRO-9’s unwavering dedication to maintaining order, promptly addressing concerns, and fostering transparency in law enforcement operations.
Embodying their LIGTAS initiative, PBGen Rodolfo pledged that the elections would not only be peaceful but also uphold justice and integrity.
“We stand as unwavering stewards of peace and democracy, fully committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring a just electoral process. With every action we take, we reinforce the public trust,” he stated.
He further stressed the significance of multi-agency cooperation in protecting citizens’ right to vote.
“PRO-9 will work hand in hand with all stakeholders, providing genuine and dedicated service to safeguard democracy and amplify the people’s voice. We will ensure that every citizen’s right to suffrage is upheld, and the electoral process truly reflects the will of the people,” he added.
