It said the government through the NLAQ has pursued various programs to provide farmers security and ownership of the land they are tilling by distributing 312,771 hectares of private agricultural lands and public lands to 383,368 agrarian reform beneficiaries from 2001 to 2009 including the development of some 176,373 hectares of new and idle lands which generated about 242,416 jobs.
