Agusan Sur hailed as drug-free police force

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- A total strength of 1,034 cops in Agusan del Sur, who underwent mandatory (92) and random (942) drug test for calendar year 2023 conducted by Agusan del Sur Provincial Forensics Unit (ADSPFU) led by Police Major Bryan Cres G. Campos, officer-in-charge, yielded all negative results for the presence of Methamphetamine and THC – metabolites, both considered as dangerous drugs.

According to Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO), the data submitted by regional intelligence division and ADS provincial intelligence unit revealed that the conduct of drug test of all personnel throughout the province is already 100 percent complete, which translated to full compliance of drug testing as part of the internal cleansing set forth by the national headquarters to eradicate the erring personnel from the organization.

“As public servants, we should set an example to the general public in zero engagement in any illegal drug activities and this huge notable accomplishment is an objective indicator of our 100 percent commitment in serving the AgSurnons with honesty, honor and integrity,” said Canlapan.

This is in line with the learning and growth perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the objective of developing a competent, well-motivated and value-oriented police personnel and organization in relation to the transformation program of the organization. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
