Urban village residents benefit from Isabela police’s outreach program

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) -- At least 130 residents of Barangay Osmeña in this city have benefitted from the community outreach program of the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO).

Public Information Office chief Capt. Scarlette Topinio said food and gift packs were distributed to the parents of learners of Osmeña Elementary School.

Some vitamins and medical kits were also turned over to barangay officials while grocery package and hygiene kits were handed to the Children-In-Conflict with the Law (CICL), and some set of school supplies were distributed to the learners to include kindergarten in the said barangay.

She said aside from the items given to the the different beneficiaries, a free haircut, information education campaign on R.A. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act was also shared to the learner’s parents held at the barangay community center.

Topinio said other police units and stations in the different parts of the province also conducted the same activity benefitting parents and learners in their area of operations.
