One-stop shop speeds up business permit transactions in Abra’s capital town

BANGUED, Abra -- Renewal of business permits and application of tricycle body numbers in Abra’s capital town is faster and more convenient with the ongoing Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) at the Bangued Municipal Hall.


This activity brings together government offices in one venue to streamline and speed up the processing of licenses and permits for business owners, entrepreneurs, including tricycle owners and operators in the province’s business center.

Municipal Administrator Essex Baroña shared that the municipal government has tied up with the provincial government especially in the releasing of tax declarations to further ease up the transactions.


“Nagtutulungan ‘yung province tsaka munisipyo sa pag-release ng tax declaration para mas mapabilis kasi kapag pinagsama-sama mo with Zones 1-7 at dito sa munisipyo lahat ng releasing, kalian pa matatapos,” he explained.


Baroña said that for Zones 1-7, Angad, Dangdangla, Sagap, San Antonio, Sta. Rosa, Sao-atan, Sapaac, and Lipcan, releasing of tax declarations will be at the provincial assessor's office while the remaining barangays will be at the municipal hall.

Requirements for registration of new businesses include barangay clearance with receipt, DTI or SEC registration,vaccine booster card,real property tax, photocopy of official receipt of business permit 2024 (of lessor if renting), revised tax declaration, tax clearance, contract of lease,permit (lessor),affidavit of non-tenant, and occupancy permit.

For business permit renewal, the following are the requirements:

• barangay clearance with receipt

• real property tax

• revised tax declaration

• official receipt of business permit 2024 (of lessor if renting)

• old permit, and

• contract of lease


Meanwhile, tricycle owners and operators who will get body numbers must bring cluster certificate, community tax certificate (cedula), barangay clearance with receipt,  police clearance, booster card (operate and driver),MTOP original copy (franchise), certificate of registration (LTO),official receipt from LTO, driver’s license, voter registration/voter’s ID,  and revised tax declaration with receipt.

Baroña said that the municipal government is looking into possible extension of the business one-stop shop that opened on January 2 up until January 20.


“Tinitignan natin if mage-extend ulit tayo just like last year but we are open daily including Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00AM-5:00PM,” he shared.


The BOSS is an annual activity of the municipal government and other national line agencies in line with Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.(JDP/JJPM-PIA Abra)
