TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, January 18 (PIA) -- Ang mga balay ug lote nga gibaligya sa kantidad nga P3.6 milyon paubos exempted na sa value-added tax (VAT).

Kini human gisaka sa Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang VAT exemption threshold sa pagbaligya sa mga balay ug yuta, ug ubang propyedad ngadto sa P3.6 milyon gikan sa P3.199 milyon.

Kini base sa gipagawas sa BIR nga Revenue Regulations No. 1-2024.

Gisakaan sa RR No. 1-2024, “VAT exemption purposes, the selling price threshold of the sale of house and lot, and other residential dwelling from P3,199,200.00 to P3,600,000.00.”

Ang adjustment may kalambigitan sa Section 109 (P) sa National Internal Revenue Code nga nagmando nga matag tulo ka tuig, ang kantidad sa subject kinahanglang i-adjust sa kasamtangang balor niini gamit ang Consumer Price Index base sa publikasyon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Sa pahayag niadtong Miyerkules, Enero 17, si BIR Internal Revenue Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. nagkanayon nga “This timely increase in VAT exemption shows our commitment to Excellent Taxpayer Service (Kining tukma-sa-panahong pagsaka sa VAT exemption nagpakita sa atong pasalig sa Excellent Taxpayer Service).”

Gidugang pa ni Lumagui nga ang pag-usbaw sa selling price threshold, alang sa VAT exemption purposes, sa pagbaligya sa house and lot, ug uban pang residential dwelling gikan sa P3,199,200.00 ngadto sa P3,600,000.00 naghatag og testamento sa gipaayo ug gi-update nga mga serbisyo sa BIR.
