PRC holds 3-day outreach in Catanduanes 

VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) -- A total of 2,500 professionals and aspiring professionals were able to avail themselves of the services offered by the Professional Regulations Commissions (PRC) at the DPWH Covered Court in this capital town of Catanduanes from January 10 to12. 

“Malaking tulong po ang nagawa nitong PRC outreach (The PRC outreach is a big help),” Rhindel Bagay said, after having processed the renewal of her nursing license. 

“Legazpi is so far, this way we didn’t need to spend for travel,” said public school teacher Margie May Clavo. 

She added that the outreach brought convenience and accessibility for professionals since the processing of certification and renewal of IDs and applications require time.

Personnel from the PRC regional office rendered certification and authentication services to 1,599 clients, processed the renewal of professional identification cards (PICs) of 213 clients, and released 272 PICs.

PRC personnel also processed the initial registration of 47 applicants for licensure examination.

Cornelio Alfonte IV, team leader of PRC Outreach Services said the majority of those who availed of the services were professionals who were unable to renew their licenses due to lack of time and money. 

During the opening program, Rep. Eulogio Rodriguez expressed his gratitude to PRC for responding to his request for mobile services that will to cater to both professionals and aspirants in the province. 

Rodriguez expressed optimism that the outreach will be a continuing activity of the PRC in Catanduanes. (PIA5/ Catanduanes)
