130 Ifugao ARB beneficiaries receive land titles

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) -- A total of 130 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARB) from three municipalities in the province of Ifugao have received their individual land titles from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

The DAR provincial office distributed 144 land titles to130 ARBs, encompassing a total area of 172.9315 hectares across 29 landholdings in the towns of Lamut, Alfonso Lista, and Aguinaldo.

This was accomplished through the Support to Parcelization of Land for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project and regular redocumentation landholding.

“This achievement is a testament to DAR’s dedication to advancing President Marcos’ push toward elevating the quality of life of farmers by providing them with farmlands and individual land titles,” the DAR posted.

Alona Padilla, the Land Tenure Services and SPLIT coordinator, emphasized to the beneficiaries the importance of giving utmost care to the land title as this piece of paper not only represents legal ownership of a parcel of land, but symbolizes hope for a better life.

“These titles carry profound significance for Ifugao ARBs, representing not just legal ownership but also embodying a symbol of hope and a practical tool to elevate their overall quality of life,” Padilla said.

She said that the land title distribution is a testament to DAR’s commitment in supporting local communities, and fostering sustainable development.
