Collaboration  among stakeholders highlighted in  SOPA

BONTOC, Mountain Province(PIA)--Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. underscored the positive impact of collaboration in  the  achievements of the province  during the State of the Province Address(SOPA) at the Provincial Multi-purpose Hall, Bontoc on January 22, 2024.

Lacwasan highlighted key milestones for  2023  including the conferment of the Seal of Local Good Governance, and the Gawad KALASAG Award. He also cited  projects and programs facilitated through partnerships with different agencies especially with  the “Barangay Muna” banner program.

The accomplishments he shared delved on the 10 governance areas namely, Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Safety, Peace and Order, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and the Arts, and Youth Development.

Lacwasan emphasized that these accomplishments are attributed to the collective efforts, shared vision, and unwavering commitment of government officials and personnel, partners and the people. He urged that  collaboration  be sustained in future undertakings.  

“We have significant strides, but our journey does not end here. Let us continue to work hand and hand to build a future that we can be proud to pass on to the next generations,” he said.

Looking ahead, the governor outlined plans to address road networks, bridges, food security, climate change, agricultural development, water systems, and the business sector to enhance the province’s economy.

Gov. Bonifacio Lacwasa Jr delivers his State of the Province Address before  provincial officials, municipal and barangay officials, national line agencies, and local government employees, community members, and local media.

He  expressed gratitude to everyone who have  been part of the province’s journey towards   success.

“Thank you, my dear public servants, community leaders, volunteers and fellow citizens. I am filled with gratitude and admiration for the relentless dedication, vision, unity, cooperation, and selflessness that you have all demonstrated,” he said.(JDP/CVBT-PIA CAR)
