Contruction underway for 2-storey police station in Mountain Province town

 BESAO, Mountain Province(PIA)--A two-story building for the  Besao Municipal Police Station will soon rise  in  barangay Kin-iway(Poblacion).


Philippine National Police Cordillera Regional Director BGen. David K. Peredo Jr.. and Mountain Province Police Provincial Director  PCol.  Sibley P. Dawiguey Jr. led the groundbreaking ceremony  of the project  on January  31. The standard two-story type-B/C  police station building with a P5-million funding from the  PNP will be constructed in a 400 meter lot  from the  local  government unit of Besao.

Peredo said  this is  significant milestone for the agency, highlighting the PNP's commitment to providing better working environment for its personnel, to  inspire them to render dedicated and quality public service.


“This marks a significant milestone in our journey towards enhancing the capabilities of the Philippine National Police. This event is a symbolic gesture that brings together the PNP, the LGU, the entire project team and the community to celebrate our unity towards progress and development," Peredo said.


PBGEN. David K. Peredo Jr., the Regional Director of the Philippine Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR), delivered his speech highlighting the importance of the building not only to the community but to the Police Force.
Besao Municipal Mayor Bryne O. Bacwaden, represented by Elsie Lomong-oy, also shared his message mentioning the symbolic representation of the building to the community of Besao.

Elsie Lomong-oy representing Besao  Mayor Bryne O. Bacwaden said the project  symbolizes a collective vision and determination to create a testament to the community's values and aspirations.


“This ground breaking ceremony signifies our collective vision and determination to create something extraordinary, something that will stand as a testament to our values and aspirations. It symbolizes growth, progress and innovation, and values deeply ingrained in our partnership,” she said.


Peredo  called on  the  Besao MPS personnel  to remain steadfast in serving and protecting the community.

 “The journey to service has not been easy but the LGU will always be behind you as you defend and safeguard to maintain the peace and order in the municipality of Besao. Let us be reminded that more than the building of Besao MPS, our goal is to secure the welfare and the best interests of the people of Besao,” he said.


The ceremony was attended by officials from PRO-COR, MPPO, and Besao MPS  led by Cpt. Janice T Pating, and Besao local government officials and employees. (JDP/VJLT-PIA Mountain Province)
