DTI  cites 5 Kalinga  business establishments as Bagwis awardees 

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga(PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recognized five business establishments in the province as Bagwis awardees.

The Bagwis award is given to establishments that promote and foster the highest level of business ethics, and uphold the rights of consumers.

Recognized as Silver Bagwis awardees  are  the Bongdoen Hardware & General Merchandise,  and Mountain Cereal Product Corp. Bronze awardees are S & R Hardware,  Talavera Hypermart, Inc.,

and GNF General Merchandise

DTI-Cordillera  Regional Director Juliet P. Lucas  led the awarding ceremony during the opening program of this year’s Kalinga Treasures Trade Fair on February 5.

Lucas said that  the  annual recognition encourages the business sector to perform as partners in economic growth and trade development .They should comply  with trade and industry laws,effective customer relations, and efficient store management operations.

The Bagwis award is under DTI’s promotion and assistance to small and medium enterprises, she added.

Meanwhile, Gov. James S. Edduba commended the awardees as ideal business partners. He acknowledged the employment and revenues the business sector contributes to the economic advancement of the province.
