455 Ifugao students benefit from education assistance

LAMUT, Ifugao (PIA)--A total of 455 students enrolled at Ifugao State University (IFSU)  recently received PhP 5,000 each in educational assistance through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The funding initiative was made possible through the efforts of Ifugao Congressman Solomon R. Chungalao.

The student-beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the support extended to them. Cyrene Udchon, one of the recipients of the educational assistance, emphasized the significant impact it has, not only for students like her but also for her parents. She pledged to utilize the money judiciously.

University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, and Political Affairs Officer III Ramses G. Cabbigat from the Congressman's office encouraged the students to use the assistance wisely. They also challenged them to unlock their   full academic potentials to be successful in their educational pursuits.

IFSU Lamut Campus Executive Director Nathaniel Dimog extended gratitude to partner agencies for  the collaborative efforts to secure funds for students' education. He also expressed hope that this educational assistance would remain a steadfast pillar of support for students in the years to come.

To ensure the efficient distribution of said assistance without duplication, the Department of Student Services and Development of IFSU meticulously compiled and submitted a list of eligible beneficiaries to the DSWD for thorough validation and screening. (JDP/FBR- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
