CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) in Mimaropa conducted free medical services for its employees.

This initative aligns with the celebration of the Philippine Heart Month on the 14th of February at the QMMC Compound, Quezon City.

This underscores the department's commitment to promote a healthy work environment and prioritize the well-being of its staff.

The initiative was rolled out under the integrated non-communicable disease prevention and control cluster–lifestyle-related diseases program, a comprehensive approach the department is taking towards combating lifestyle-related health issues.

DOH offered comprehensive health screenings and consultations to identify and manage risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, which are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the country.

Employees participated in the program have expressed gratitude for the initiative noting the positive impact it has had on their health awareness and behaviors. (JJGS/PIA MIMAROPA)
