Boosting economic stability

On February 2, 86 member-beneficiaries of the Mantigue Island Motorboat Service Association and 79 member-beneficiaries of the White Island Pumpboat Operators Credit Cooperative received P250,000 per association as a livelihood grant from DOLE-10.

The grants, released through Accredited Co-Partner Kahugpongan sa Masilakong Mangingisda Organization (KASAMMA) Chairperson Fernando S. Ocaba, provided the groups with tools and equipment for a motorboat spare parts and accessories store.

Bael emphasized that the livelihood grants offer readily-available equipment, stable income sources, improved living conditions, and economic stability for the beneficiaries.

To ensure the sustainability and growth of the projects, recipients underwent the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board’s Service Quality Improvement Program, focusing on enhancing income generation through wage and self-employment. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
