QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Commuters from the northern part of Metro Manila going to south can now board at the Navotas Bus Terminal enroute to the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) via Road 10.

The new route has opened on Tuesday, February 20. Using the new route, commuters can board either the DSN Business Transport and Tesselle One Liner buses from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Gate 9 and Bay 9 of the terminal.

From the Navotas bus terminal to PITX, the list of stops include (and vice versa):

  • Road 10
  • Anda Circle
  • Bonifacio Drive
  • Roxas Boulevard
  • Seaside Drive
  • Diosdado Macapagal Avenue
  • PITX

Meanwhile, the route from PITX to Navotas bus terminal will traverse the following stops:

  • PITX
  • Diosdado Macapagal Avenue
  • Seaside Drive
  • Roxas Boulevard
  • Bonifacio Drive
  • Anda Circle
  • Road 10
  • Navotas Bus Terminal

The establishment of a direct route between the two transport hubs will provide convenience to commuters by reducing the need to make multiple transfers within a single journey.

In 2019, the local government of Navotas sought the establishment of additional bus terminal facilities such as loading and unloading areas, covered walkways, and a ferry station for the ease of commuters. When the COVID-19 pandemic came in 2020, the initiative was temporarily put oin hold to give priority to other social welfare services.

The addition of the new route will improve the accessibility of the local transportation system, according to the City Government. (JMP/PIA-NCR)
