TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) awarded Certificates of Incorporation to a total of 18 newly-registered Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in Tarlac. 

The ARBOs were assisted in the processing of their SEC registration, and the releasing of their certificates of incorporation during the renewal of Memorandum of Agreement between SEC Tarlac Extension Office (TEO) and the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

SEC-TEO Director Richard Laus noted that the undertaking is part of their advocacy to reach and serve farmers in pursuit of the ease of doing business initiatives of the commission. 

“SEC is willing to provide all its services to help our local farmers, and to promote sustainable economic growth. We also equip them with knowledge on financial principles and practices to prevent them from falling victim to investment fraud,” he said. 

The agency provides orientation on investor education, financial literacy, investment scam protection, online filing of SEC annual reports, online registration to the SEC Memorandum Circular No. 28 Portal among others. 

Laus also urged other farmers’ organizations to register, and to comply with all the SEC regulatory requirements. 

Meanwhile, DAR Tarlac Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Rogelio Marzan emphasized their close coordination with SEC to enhance the livelihood, income and competitiveness of farmers. 

DAR assured that support services and interventions are accessible and available to ensure productivity of ARBOs. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
