CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) --The newly completed multi-million infra-structure projects in Tumauini town were inaugurated as part of the 2024 Mangi Festival.

The infrastructure projects include the P225 million worth Rudy B. Albano Astrodome and the P16 million legislative building of  town.

The inauguration was led by Senator Lito Lapid together with former Tumauini Mayor and now the consultant Arnold Baustista, Mayor Venus Bautista, Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Emmanuel Añez, and witnessed by local and barangay officials.

"We are very thankful to our Senator Lito Lapid together with Senators JV Ejercito and the then Senator Tito Sotto for sharing funds from their respective offices plus the funds from Gov. Rodito Albano III and 1st District Representative Tonypet Albano for the completion of the astrodome, without their shares, the project might not have been completed,” Baustista said.

She said the astrodome is the largest in region 2 with an area of 4,140 square meters with 14 layers of concrete bleachers located just beside the municipal hall.

Aside from the astrodome, the new municipal legislative bulding located at the back of the municipal was also inaugurated.

Bautista said the sangguniang bayan members including the Vice Mayor will now have their resepctive offices and a session hall in crafting necessary local ordinances and resolutions to address the plight of every Tumauini resident. 

Meanwhile, Senator Lito Lapid assured his continued support to the Local Government Unit of Tumauini and other LGUs in Isabela to benefit their constituents. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
