Ket ti expectation mi ket atleast makalako kami ti product mi, mai-promote mi toy produkto mi han lang nga strawberry ti mai-promote since farmer kami metlaeng iti nay coffee, kasla coffee grower kami, i-promote mi metlang ti coffee a kas pares ti strawberry ken cake,” Annilyn Tiongan, an MSME said.
[This strawberry lane is a privilege for us, MSME in La Trinidad. We expect to at least sell our products, promote our products, not only strawberry but also coffee because we are also coffee growers. We promote coffee as a pair of strawberry and cake.]
Tiongan said they also assist their fellow farmers in marketing their diverse produce through the strawberry lane.
This lane extends beyond strawberry products, highlighting a variety of cultural weavings, arts, and crafts crafted by talented Igorot local artists.
"Ag-ilako kami ket kayat mi nga i-preserve jay kultura, datayo nga kaigorotan. Maipakita tayo diyay culture tayo nga akas an Igorot ken ma i-preserve diyay kaugalian,” expressed Danny Ocasen.
[We sell these crafts with the aim of showcasing and preserving our culture as Igorot.]
Open throughout the month, the agro-fair promises a unique experience, allowing everyone to indulge in the essence of this berry-infused celebration.
“We would to invite all the public, foreign, and local tourists to participate in all the identified programs of the Strawberry Festival 2024,” said Salda.
Aside from the agro-fair, a diverse events arew lined up throughout the month-long festivities. Highlights include the highly anticipated Heaviest and Sweetest Strawberries competition on March 8, the exhilarating Strawberry Fun Run "Duting tan Dukto" on March 9, the grand Civic Parade and main program on March 15, Street Dancing with Small Floats and Drum and Lyre Performances on March 16, and the scrumptious Strawberry Cake Fest on March 17, among others.
