LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA) - - The Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO) was praised for leading its celebration of the National Women’s Month (NWM) to recognize the dynamic role of women in the community.

“Despite being an organization dominated by men, the organization’s support for the National Women’s Month celebration emphasizes the importance of recognizing, and appreciating the contributions of women in our society,” said Ifugao State University (IFSU) President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon during the NWM kickoff  program at the Camp Colonel Joaquin Dunuan in Lagawe on March 4.

The support of the men of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office for  the Women’s Month celebration speaks volumes about the spirit of unity and collaboration within this organization, she said.

This year’s theme is “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan,”

Dugyon underscored the courage and commitment of  the female police officers of the IPPO, and their vital role in law enforcement

“I would like to express my heartfelt salute to the incredible women of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office for their courage and commitment to upholding the values of justice and security in a society that often requires strength and resilience. You have proven time and again that women play an indispensable role in law enforcement. Your presence in this organization is a source of inspiration and pride for all of us,” she  said.

Dugyon, assisted by Provincial Director Colonel Marvin Diplat, also  led the awarding of commendations and certificate of appreciation to 20 deserving men and women of IPPO. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
