DPWH completes 3-storey school building in Tarlac City

TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a three-storey building at Maliwalo Central Elementary School in Tarlac City.

About P39.3 million was allocated for the 912-square meter infrastructure under the agency’s Basic Infrastructure Program, funded by the 2023 national budget.

DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala said the new facility features nine spacious classrooms aimed at fostering a comfortable and supportive learning environment conducive to student progress and ensuring their safety and well-being.

“It also stands as a testament to our dedication to providing conducive learning environments for our students," he pressed.

The project includes security cameras and fire safety devices to prioritize the safety of students, faculty, and employees of Maliwalo Central Elementary School.

It also has amenities such as a dedicated hand wash area promoting hygiene, a water tank ensuring stable water supply, and a wheelchair ramp enhancing inclusivity by facilitating access for students with disabilities. (MJSC/CLJD-PIA 3)
