GASAN, Marinduque (PIA) -- The Gasan Municipal Police Station (MPS) personnel together with the officials and residents of Barangay Dawis initiated a tree planting activity, recently.

With the primary goal of educating the public about the value of conserving and planting trees, Police Staff Sergeant Atoz C. Monroyo along with the Gasan MPS personnel conducted a tree planting activity in the said barangay.

A total of 50 narra seedlings were planted in the community with participation of various stakeholders along with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) beneficiaries, and the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) members.

Through eco-friendly actions, the activity aims to demonstrate concern for the environment, provide protection against the potentially adverse impacts of climate change, while strengthening relationships with the local community. (RAMJR/JJPM/PIA MIMAROPA - Marinduque)
