QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) -- A mine firm in Barangay Runruno here has sponsored a Family Day for its more than 1,000 workers.

Vince Sapinit, FCF Minerals Corporation Human Resource Management chief, said the Family Day is one of the major programs of their company aimed at promoting work values and job satisfaction among its workers.

“The Family Day which was conducted at the project site  aims  to promote unity and camaraderie among its workers and provide bonding moments with their families,” he said.

Sapinit said the Family Day, believed to be the first in the mining sector in Cagayan Valley provided the company workers' families with various food, gifts and game treats, alongside mine tours and in-house Information, Education and Communication regarding the life in the mine site and its operations anchored on responsible mining practices.

FCF Minerals Corporation operates the gold-molybdenum project in Barangay Runruno. The company also helps the host barangay and its neighboring communities through the implementation of various Social Development Projects, among others. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
