On April 12, 2023, the Sangguniang Bayan members of San Mariano passed Resolution No. 048-2023 declaring the insurgency-free status of San Mariano.

Based from the officials, after almost a year of declaration, it is monitored that there are no more CTG presence in the town and the local economy is improving.

However, 502nd Deputy Brigade Commander Col. Davice Christopher Mercado urged residents to be watchful and never allow CTGs to return and ignite conflicts in the town.
