MAKATI CITY, (PIA) -- Good news! The Makati Elementary School (ES) will start offering special Science and Mathematics curricula to gifted and talented students this coming school year.

As the second public school in the city to provide advanced educational programs, the Makati ES aims to enhance different learning experiences for high-achieving students.

Makati City Mayor Abby Binay highlighted the city's commitment to educational excellence. She hopes this will lead to more schools adopting the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or STEM-focused curricula, fostering innovation and opportunities for city students.

According to the city government, the proclamation is guided by the Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 57, s. 2011 or the “Policy Guidelines in the Implementation of the Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES) Project.” (Makati City/PIA-NCR)
