QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced that the operations of LRT-1 from Baclaran Station to Fernando Poe Jr. Station and vice versa will be temporarily suspended from March 27 (Holy Wednesday) to March 31, 2024 (Easter Sunday).

This, according to the LRMC, is to facilitate the annual preventive maintenance activities, which have been a traditional practice of the train line.

The LRMC said the temporary closure will also pave the way for the mandatory testing activities related to the Alstom signaling system for the LRT1 Cavite Extension project.

Normal operations, however, will resume Monday, April 1, 2024. (LRMC/PIA-NCR)
