CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a one-storey, two-classroom school building at Pagas Elementary School in Cabanatuan City.

DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said the project features spacious and well-ventilated classrooms that would meet the students' needs and symbolize a brighter future for education in the community.

“About P4.69 million was allocated by the Department of Education (DepED) for the infrastructure under its FY 2023 Basic Education Facilities,” he added.

For his part, Assistant District Engineer Robert Jay Panaligan highlighted the efficient and dedicated team effort behind the project's on-time completion, fulfilling the agency's commitment to public service.

“Timely completion is key to ensure that our stakeholders can benefit from the upgraded facilities without unnecessary delays. These classrooms could help the learners of Barangay Pagas to have an enhanced learning experience and contribute to the overall development of the children,” Panaligan pressed.

It was implemented by DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office in convergence with DepED with the objective of continuously improving educational facilities in the public school system and addressing the shortage of classrooms while providing safe and conducive spaces for both students and educators.
