DPWH-Palawan 2nd DEO announces the completion of Quezon-Aramaywan road rehabilitation

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Palawan 2nd District Engineering Office recently announced the completion of the Quezon-Aramaywan Road.

The rehabilitation/reconstruction aimed to address the deteriorating road conditions caused by geological hazards, ensuring safe and reliable transportation infrastructure for the communities of Quezon and Aramaywan.

According to DPWH-Palawan 2nd DEO, completion of this project will enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians.

This improvement also reduces the risk of accidents caused by road hazards and ensures safer travel for everyone using the roads within the Quezon-Aramaywan area, contributing to the overall well-being and security of the local community.

The 1,214.87 square meters road with slips, slope collapse, and landslide are rehabilitated by construction of concrete slope protection with steel sheet pile, concrete shoulder, and other miscellaneous structures.

The DPWH funded this project with the total amount of ₱15,680,000 from the 2023 General Appropriation Act. (OCJ/PIA-MIMAROPA, Palawan)
