Ilagan City to offer tourism circuit

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - The City Government of Ilagan and the Department of Tourism (DOT), with the Isabela Tourism Office, will soon open the tourism circuit in the city following the 3-day dry run conducted recently. 

The city's tourism circuit is dubbed as 'Tourism Circuit the Authenticity City of Ilagan: Your Journey to Leisure and Discoveries'. 

Tourism Officer Ma. Cristina R. Simon said DOT officials and other stakeholders participated in the dry run where they experienced the city’s tourist destinations, agri-eco tour, and nature and couture tour.

“This is to assess the readiness of the city's destinations, products and activities in preparation for the familiarization trip and the launching of the circuit to be opened to the public soon.” Simon said.

She said the City of  Ilagan, thru the leadership of City Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz, has always been at the forefront of tourism initiatives and creativeness in making the city the premier tourism destination in the province and in the whole Cagayan Valley Region as well.

Parts of the circuit are the Ilagan Japanese Tunnel, Ilagan Sanctuary, Abuan River Adventure and Eco-Park, Isabela Museum and Library, dancing fountains, largest butaka, Queen Isabela Park, St. Ferdinand Church, DA-CVRC extension office, and several other tourist destinations in the city.

Meanwhile, DOT Regional Director Troy Alexander Miano and Provincial Tourism Officer Joanne D. Maranan have expressed their full support and assistance yo the initiative of the city government of Ilagan. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
