 OPAPRU grants three PAMANA projects to Kalinga

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) – Three infrastructure projects to  enhance connectivity and livelihood opportunities in the province will be implemented under the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayan (PAMANA) program.

Secretary  Carlito Galvez Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) and Gov. James S. Edduba for the  Provincial Government of Kalinga signed the memorandum of agreement  at the  Philippine International Convention Center on March 14.

The projects are a bridge and a road project in Barangay Poswoy, Balbalan, and road development project connecting Barangays  Banagao – Mangali – Taloctoc in Tanudan with Brgy. Mabongtot in Lubuagan.

In his message of commitment during the  ceremonial MOA signing between OPAPRU and  local government units  with Albay 2nd District  Representative Joey S. Salceda as guest of honor,  Edduba  stressed the importance of  these projects which signal hope, connectivity, and progress for communities  in  these vulnerable areas once exploited by those mapping threats to peace and stability.

The governor emphasized that by bringing development to these areas,  it brings the message that the government is here to serve, fostering resilience and deterring threats to peace and security.

He pledged to more collaborative projects with the national government to ensure peace and progress reach every barangay, especially those in peace and development focus areas.
