Isabela PDRRMO to deploy personnel for Lenten Season observance

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is set to deploy rescue and emergency response personnel in strategic areas in the province to ensure the safety of travelers and motorists during the observance of the Lenten Season.

PDRRM Officer Atty. Constante Foronda Jr said the rescue will ensure public safety, especially in major highways and streets in the province.

Foronda said the PDRRMO personnel will also be joined by a team from the Bureau of Fire Protection - Isabela, Isabela Police Provincial Office, medical personnel from the Provincial Health Office, Provincial Engineering Office and several other personnel from other government agencies.

“We want to ensure that all travelers within the area of Isabela are safe in their destinations,” Foronda said.

He also said that even motorists outside Isabela who want to seek assistance may call the PDRRMC Isabela 24/7 hotline numbers 09158193187, 09215852341, 09178526698 and 078-323-0146 and the PDRRMC will be the one to contact the nearest responders of motorists who need assistance.

Meanwhile, the Isabela police and the fire bureau also instructed their respective stations to set-up public assistance posts.

The Isabela Public Safety Office also conducted inspections in bus stations in the province and distributed travel and road safety tips among passengers and motorists. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
