Rep. Cuaresma opens Alumni Building, pledges support for NVSU’s P70M Library Hub

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — Representative Luisa Cuaresma has pledged her full support and assistance for the establishment of a world-class 5-storey Library Hub at the Nueva Vizcaya State University campus in this town.

“Rest assured of my full support to this project since our students are in need of this structure and the services that it will give to our  youth for their quality education so that they can be empowered for further employment,” she said.

Cuaresma was the guest of honor and speaker during the recent groundbreaking of the Library Hub and the inauguration of the P4 million 2-storey ‘Balai Ti Alumni’ (Alumni Building)  which she also initiated its funding.

She said she will source out funds in Congress to ensure the realization of the Library Hub project of NVSU as an important and significant infrastructure facility for Novo Vizcayano youths.

The activities were part of the 20th Charter Anniversary celebration of NVSU with the theme: “A score of our past, a bridge to our future”.

The upcoming Library Hub project and the newly-inaugurated Alumni Building, among others  are major infrastructure projects of NVSU to improve its buildings, facilities and services.

NVSU officials said an initial fund of P20 million has been released for the construction of the Library Hub.

Gerald Perez, NVSU Campus administrator, said the Library Hub will serve as a beacon of knowledge and “intellectual growth for generations to come.”

“This will be one of the best Library Hubs in the country and it will be comparable globally,” he said.

Dr. Wilfredo Dumale, Jr., NVSU president, thanked Representative Cuaresma for her generosity kindness and love for the university.

“We will not forget your assistance. What we can promise is to do our best to provide quality education for the youth because they are our hope for our future,” he said.  (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
