The Coast Guard Northeastern Luzon sub-stations located in the province also activated their respective Deployable Response Groups (DRGs) to ensure that they are prepared to rapidly address any emergency or unforeseen circumstances that may arise within their area of responsibility.
“We also strengthened our security measures at ports, tourist spots, and roads in our area of responsibility. In anticipation of the influx of tourists over the summer vacation, the district is strictly conducting pre-departure inspections on all passenger boats to ensure the public's safety and comfort,” he added.
Librilla said that their personnel are in charge of guaranteeing the safety of the people who will use the passenger boats, as well as ensuring that all passenger boats are in excellent condition before leaving the port.
The commander also said that the BRP Malapascua MRRV 4403, which arrived at San Vicente Port in Santa Ana, Cagayan, on March 30, will also be utilized in their monitoring activities.
