QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Members of Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)  can now access their health insurance information anytime and anywhere through the eGovPH Super App.

PhilHealth has collaborated with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to make this digitalization initiative possible for its members within and outside the country.

“PhilHealth’s inclusion in the eGovPH Super App is integral to the Agency’s digital transformation journey. This is definitely one of our urgent priorities as we continuously improve our services and make them within reach by more and more Filipinos who are gravitating towards online transactions,” PhilHealth President and CEO Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. explained.

The eGovPH Super App was launched in June 2023 as a means to provide better frontline services to people. It is a citizen-centric mobile application which integrates all online government services into one single platform, enabling Filipinos to make simpler transactions with different local government units and national government agencies.

“This move is another step forward in realizing President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s call to digitalize access and availment of services of government agencies,” Ledesma added.

By using the eGovPH Super App, PhilHealth members can access their membership profile, contribution history, as well as their status of registration with Konsulta provider. More functional features will also be added during the integration process including online registration and amendment, registration to a provider of Konsulta Package, as well as the use of QR code for verification, among others.

To ensure a convenient user experience, the application is made suitable for portable devices, particularly mobile phones.

It only requires three (3) simple steps to readily access the PhilHealth Member Portal:

  • Download the eGovPH SuperApp either via Google Play Store or App Store for free.
  • Register your user account by providing personal details such as name, birthdate, address, mobile number, and email address for identity verification.
  • Submit a selfie and wait for the One-Time Password (OTP) code that will be sent to the contact number you provided. You will also receive a verification message through the email address you used to register.

Once these steps are completed, members can log-in to their verified user accounts anytime using the registered mobile number.

“By accessing PhilHealth information through the eGovPH Super App, millions of Filipinos are more empowered, thereby making equitable access to quality and affordable health care services a reality,” PhilHealth highlighted.

Meanwhile, PhilHealth members can also contact the following numbers for inquiries regarding their health insurance benefits:

  • Telephone: (02) 8662-2588
  • Mobile: 0998-8572957; 0968-8654670; 0917-1275987; 0917-1109812

These contact numbers are made available 24 hours a day for seven (7) days a week including holidays. It can be recalled that PhilHealth’s hotlines were only available during weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, PhilHealth launched new touchpoints to allow members to easily connect and communicate with the corporation for their concerns.

“Our new touch points can now be reached any time of the day at the convenience of our members, especially our overseas Kababayans because they no longer need to wait for Philippine office hours to reach out to us,” Ledesma further explained.

These touchpoints include the “Click to Call” channel in the home page of the official website of PhilHealth which enables members to directly place their call to a live agent using a personal computer or a mobile phone with internet connection. (JMP/PIA-NCR)
