SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) – The Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) in the Ilocos Region notched significant results in its anti-illegal drug campaign for the first quarter of 2024.
 
PRO 1 confiscated illegal drugs with a combined drug price of P29,230,819.26, exceeding the P28,760,026.96 recorded in the same period last year.
 
They also arrested 360 individuals in 302 operations, compared to 303 arrests and 277 operations in the first quarter of 2023.
 
"These figures reflect PRO 1's intensified efforts to curb illegal drugs in the region by blocking their sources and employing improved suppression methods," emphasized Police Brigadier General Lou Evangelista, PRO 1 chief.
 
PBGEN Evangelista commended his personnel for their dedication, sacrifices, and hard work in these successful operations.
