CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Google Philippines are offering free technical courses with 500 slots allotted for Nueva Ecija residents.

The 2024 Google Career Certificate scholarship program aims to provide technical and digital skills training and equip the participants with professional certification, which may boost their career or business potential. 

DTI Provincial Director Richard Simangan said qualified applicants under the program include owners and staff of micro, small and medium enterprises as well as women, out-of-school youth, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and unemployed or underemployed individuals.

“They can study online for three to six months for free,” he pressed.

The program offers in-demand courses including Data Analytics, IT Support, Project Management, User Experience Design, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, and Cybersecurity.

Eligible applicants must be 18 years old or above, Filipino residents, committed to completing the course within the specified timeframe, and preferably have a gadget and access to the internet.
