4Ps beneficiaries in Divilacan graduate from the program

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) -- Seventy-five beneficiaries of the Pantwaid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) have succesfully graduated from the government's poverty alleviation program in the coastal town of Divilacan, Isabela.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 2, the program implementer, said most of the beneficiaries belong to the Indigenous Peoples called 'Dumagats'. 

Program Management Office Chief Vicenta Pamittan said the graduation ceremony in the town was already the second time.

She said the 4Ps household beneficiaries have already obtained  self-sufficiency level, a living status that must be acheived to exit from the program.

Judith Pagaduan, a beneficiary, expressed thanks to God, to the DSWD, and to LGU Divilacan for the support they have provided to the poor and disadvantaged people in the town.

Aside from the graduation of the 75 4Ps in the town, the DSWD also recognized the dedication and determination of 13 4Ps student beneficiaries who succesfully finished their college degrees.

Meanwhile, Divilacan Mayor Venturito Bulan assured that the LGU will continue to assist the 4Ps who have already graduated from the program.

Bulan also led the distribution of P5,000 cash assitance to each to the program grtaduates. He also advised them to utilize the money for their daily needs and for their livelihood. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
