TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) -- A total of 1,459 ‘Purok Agkaykaysa scholars’ received their financial assistance from the provincial government during the payout held at the Municipal Gymnasium of Sanchez Mira, Cagayan on April 10.

Each scholar received P3,500 in stipends, which covered the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024.

The students who received aid were from the towns of Claveria with 556 recipients, Abulug with 245, Sanchez Mira -241, Pamplona -227, and Sta. Praxedes -122, and Calayan with 68 recipients.

The Purok Agkaykaysa Scholarship is a program of Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba with the aim of helping deserving students in the province of Cagayan finish their studies by providing financial assistance and other skills training. (MDCT/PIA Cagayan)
