QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — The Local Government Unit of Nueva Vizcaya has set aside P500,000 as livelihood assistance to the graduates of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Mayor Dolores Binwag and DSWD Regional Director Lucia Alan turned-over the check containing the livelihood assistance to the 24 4Ps graduates who formed themselves into an organization called Pioneer Angat Buhay Association.

Binwag said the financial assistance will be used by the PABA members through the Public Employment Service Office for their rice retailing projects, among others.

She said PABA  members will undergo livelihood seminars and training sessions to equip them with the necessary skills to ensure the proper management of  their organization and business venture.

“We are committed to help you on your business venture. Help us too by managing your organization and business properly,” Binwag said.

DSWD Regional Director Lucia Alan expressed her appreciation to the LGU for spearheading the first of its  kind support from the LGU.

“This event signifies a significant milestone, being the first of its kind provided by the LGU to its exiting 4Ps beneficiaries, and that it underscores the shared commitment of the agency and the LGU in ensuring that the program goals and objectives are met,” she said. (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
