Didipio mine awards multi-purpose building to Kasibu folks

KASIBU, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — The Didipio Mine has turned over a P4.9-million two-story Multi-Purpose Building to the officials and villagers of Barangay Tukod here.

Jackie Marquez, Didipio Mine Community Relations and Development supervisor, said the construction of the building was funded through the Didipio Mine’s Social Development and Management Program.

 “We thank Barangay Tukod and its community for their endless support to the Didipio Mine even during the mine’s difficulty until today that it is operating,”  she said.

Barangay Captain Romel Lawa also thanked the Didipio Mine for their good partnership with the communities of Kasibu.

“We also thank Didipio Mine for their support for the successful construction of the multipurpose building,” he said.

Governor Jose  Gambito praised the Didipio Mine, the MLGU of Kasibu ang BLGU of Tukod for showing the importance of working together for projects and benefits that can be given to the community.

Local officials led by Lawa, Governor Gambito, Kasibu Councilor Karen Cablinan representing Mayor Romeo Tayaban, Vice Mayor Alberto Bumolo, Jr. joined the acceptance of the MPB from the Didipio Mine representatives. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
