PSA to open registry system outlet in Pangasinan town

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will cater to more clients as a new civil registration system (CRS) outlet will open in Rosales, Pangasinan on April 22.

The new CRS outlet is situated at the Government Center in Barangay Carmay.

Zenaida L. Garcillian, registration officer IV from the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) Ilocos said this will allow accessible and convenient registration services to the public, especially in the eastern Pangasinan part and neighboring areas.

This will also further help decongest the Calasiao outlet which has an average of 1,572 transactions and 607 clients each day.

“The establishment of the CRS Rosales outlet will bring the civil registration services more accessible not only to the people of Rosales but also to the people of the nearby town,” Garcillian said.

“With the influx of clients, other services that the municipality offers like transportation, food services, and others that the clients may avail during their transactions with the CRS Outlet would somehow help in the economy of Rosales, Pangasinan.  Hence, the establishment of this outlet will be advantageous both socially and economically for the people of Rosales,” Garcillian added.

Among the services to be offered in the new CRS are copy issuance of civil registry documents, authentication of Local Civil Registry Office-issued documents if PSA's copy of the document is not available in the CRS database, issuance of Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) or issuance of Advisory of Marriages (CEMAR), issuance of Certificate of No Death (CENODEATH) or Advisory of Deaths (CEDEATH), and  electronic endorsement of civil registry documents.

The funding of this project establishment is part of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the PSA and Unisys Managed Services Corporation.

Meanwhile, Rosales CRS so far is the latest installed outlet in the region, although PSA-RSSO 1 is working on the establishment of an LGU-operated CRS outlet in other provinces which is yet to be announced. (JCR/MJTAB/REP/PIA Region 1)
