Quirino PNP, DepEd conduct tutorial classes for grade schoolers

SAGUDAY, Quirino (PIA) -- The Quirino Police Provincial Office (QPPO) and the Department of Education (DepEd) here recently launched a transformative initiative in the province by providing tutorial classes to grade schoolers.

Dubbed as Quirino PPO-Tutors to Invest in Dreamers (QP-TID), particularly for Grades 1 to 3, the project was launched at Dibul Elementary School in Saguday town.

Lt. Col. Ramon Macarubbo, chief of the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit, said the partnership between the QPPO and the DepEd is a dream that is full of hope for learners.

“The police officers who are graduates of education courses will serve as teachers who will impart lessons in various subjects and at the same time provide inspiration to the youth towards the attainment of their dreams and ambitions in life,” Macarubbo said.

The PCADU chief said the police community is committed to shaping the future of the young generation by providing them with the tools and support that they need to succeed.

“The QPPO believes that by investing in their dreams, we are investing in a future that is brighter, stronger, and more inclusive, " Macarubbo added.

Aside from the QP-TID launching, the QPPO also provided school supplies to 22 learners and free haircut, through its Barbero ng Bayan si Mamang at Manang Pulis or BBM Pulis.

Schools Division Superintendent Madelyn Macalling said they are proud to partner with the police on the implementation of the QP-TID as she expressed hope for more fruitful collaborations that will further enrich learners' educational experiences.

Macalling assured the implementation of continuous and innovative strategies to provide learners with the best opportunities for learning and growth.

Furthermore, she thanked the QPPO and the municipal government unit of Saguday led by Mayor Jerry M. Pagbilao for the implementation of the QPTID program saying that the said initiative is a shining example of the power of collaboration and shared vision between DepEd and its stakeholders.

“Education is the cornerstone of societal progress, and we at DepEd, in concert with our partners, are committed to ensuring that every learner is equipped with the knowledge and skills he or she needs to thrive,” Macalling said. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
