LAGAYAN, Abra (PIA) -- Business and entrepreneurial services and programs are now closer to Lagayanos with the opening of the Negosyo Center in the town.

This 10th Negosyo Center in the province was established through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry - Abra (DTI) and the local government unit (LGU)  of Lagayan.

The opening of the new negosyo center that will offer business counseling, registration, and other assistance was led by Mayor Edmarc Crisologo and DTI-Abra Officer-in-Charge Marvin Arcangel with other stakeholders.

In his message, the mayor  pointed out the importance of entrepreneurial empowerment towards the economic progress of their town.

“Dakkel nga banag kanyatayo daytoy a taga-Lagayan gapuenta daytoy ti mangpapigsa ti economic growth tayo and we will fight poverty alongside with DTI through business empowerment", Crisologo said.

[This means a lot to us here in Lagayan because this will empower our economic growth, and we will fight poverty alongside with DTI through business empowerment.]

Arcanghel also underscored the importance of partnership between the LGU and the DTI to bring entrepreneurial development in the locality.

“Napateg ti partnership ken collaboration with the LGU ket nakita mi ti focus ti LGU Lagayan when it comes to MSME development isu nga addan ti Negosyo Center ditoy’, Arcangel stated.

[The partnership and collaboration with LGU is important. We saw  the focus of LGU Lagayan when it come to MSME development so  we established  a Negosyo Center here.]

 Lagayan was priviously  covered by the Negosyo Center of La Paz alongside with Danglas.
