The awardees include the cities of Vigan and Candon, along with the municipalities of Santiago, Cervantes, Magsingal, Caoayan, Lidlidda, Sta. "This seal is a testament to the LGUs' dedication to creating a nurturing environment for children," said Randy Dela Rosa, Ilocos Sur's provincial director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

"They've implemented various policies, social programs, and initiatives that prioritize children's rights and well-being," he said during the Ammuentayo teleradio program of PIA Ilocos Sur on Tuesday.

Dela Rosa highlighted the importance of the seal, not just for child welfare but also for Ilocos Sur's overall governance.

"This recognition is part of the 2022 audit cycle, and we hope to see even more LGUs qualify in the future. The Child Friendly Seal contributes to the Seal of Good Local Governance, the highest honor bestowed upon LGUs," he added.

Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias Singson emphasized the importance of continued collaboration.

"Let's work together to ensure that every child in our province can reach their full potential and become empowered leaders of tomorrow," he said.
