CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) -- In its aim to bring closer the services to the people, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 2 recently opened its Social Welfare Assistance Desk (SWAD) satellite office in Cauayan City.

The SWAD satellite office located at Barangay Cabaruan, Cauayan City is the third in the province. It was established through the initiative of 6th District Representative Faustino Dy V.

DSWD Regional Director Lucia Alan extended her gratitude to Rep. Dy, Cauayan City Mayor Caesar Dy Jr. and all officials of Cauayan City for providing a SWAD satellite office for the employees who will serve the people from the city and from its nearby municipalities.

Alan said there were already established SWAD satellite offices in the town of Roxas and the city of Santiago.

“I deeply express my gratitude to Rep. Faustino Dy V and all officials of Cauayan City for their all out support by providing an office for the employees of DSWD who will deliver programs and services closer to the residents,” Alan said.

She said the establishment of SWAD satellite office in the city will ensure the timely delivery of programs and services  like the Assistance to Individual In Crisis Situation, livelihood programs, counseling services, and other poverty alleviation programs of the department. 

Meanwhile, Cauayan City Mayor Caesar Dy Jr assured the continuous support of the city to the DSWD considering that the agency has made the lives of Cauayeños better through its may programs and services. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
