VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Ilocos Sur is encouraging job seekers to apply to the 3,016 job vacancies in the job fair for the 122nd Labor Day celebration on May 1.

Across the province, there are 2,230 positions available locally, while 786 are overseas.

DOLE Ilocos Sur Provincial Director Charity Ubilas urged job seekers to take this opportunity by applying for positions that align with their aspirations, with the chance to secure employment on the same day.

She said this during the Ammuentayo radio program of the Philippine Information Agency Ilocos Sur Information Center where she also said, “Activities like this underscores the government’s commitment to creating avenues for employment and economic empowerment.”

“With DOLE’s job fair initiative, it is expected to make a significant impact on the lives of every job seeker, ushering in new opportunities and pathways to success,” Ubilas added.
